Wowsers, i have soooo much to catch you up on. I am really trying to get back into this whole blog thing as Stuart and I are now doing so much with the bike club (HOGs) I cannot believe i didn't buy bike sooner although i did enjoy riding on the back with Stuart. Speaking of Stuart, he has purchased himself a new beautiful bike. Harley Davidson Street Glide in the most gorgeous red colour. This bike is pretty awesome - comes with sat nav......... loud stereo - yep it comes with a stereo and yep you can hear it when you are riding hehehehehe Even I can hear it if I have my visor up and i am directly behind Stuart. I must say though that he gets some funny looks when we are sitting at the lights and he has his music blaring

As I mentioned before we have been doing lots of rides with the club and with individuals from the club when there is no official ride on.
My first big ride/overnighter
21st May - Pottsville
My first big ride and it was with the club. I told Stuart that I did not think I was ready for it but he told me to just get on with it so I did. What a scary / fun time.
We all rode from the Harley store in Nerang out the back through Murwillumbah and then into Suffolk Park where we stopped for lunch. I loved riding through the twisty mountain roads but was terrified riding back to Pottsville on the highway. I felt so vulnerable and almost pooped my pants when a big truck went flying past. I felt sorry for Rennie the poor tail end Charlie as I am sure that i never reached the speed limit once on that part of the journey.

Me hehehehehe |
They say that there is never any pressure and I am sure there isn't from them. I do however sometimes feel that I pressure myself. In the end it didn't matter as I made it in one piece ready for a fun night with the guys. This was our first experience with the club and boy was it an experience. These guys sure know how to party........
We went to a little Mexican restaurant in Pottsville and I don't think they knew what hit them. We had dancing on the tables, a little bit of air guitar and plenty of beverages flowing. We even had a conga line go right through the restaurant out the back door and in the front. A few of the younger guests joined in with us. I cannot remember the last time I laughed so much
Our first ever HOG overnighter was a HUGE success. Everyone is incredibly welcoming and we can see that we are going to have many years of fun times with this crazy bunch of people.
Well I had planned to tell you about some of our other recent rides and antics however I think I will leave that for another post.
And remember - happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions so with that in mind go out and enjoy :-)
Until next time
