Radiation & a holiday

Radiation is finished (thank goodness).  Three weeks done and dusted.  There has been a little shrinkage but only time will tell.  I am hoping that they will schedule an MRI in the next month so we can see the results of the treatment.  I still have not given up hope of Emma surviving this horrid cancer.  It is all in the hands of God.

Hillcrest Christian College (the children's school) held a fundraiser last week to raise funds for Emma to have a holiday in Sydney.  Wow the fundraiser was a huge success and I can guarantee that Emma is going to have the time of her life.  A friend got in touch with the Park Hyatt in Sydney and we are going to be staying in 5 star luxury for a very great price.  I cannot thank the Hyatt enough for their generosity to our family.  While we are in Sydney Emma wants to visit Taronga Zoo, climb the Harbour Bridge, see Centrepoint tower and of course do a spot of shopping.  I have been told that there are markets down at the Rocks which are supposed to be great.

Anyway we are heading off at the end of October so will have loads of photos to share.  We are all very much looking forward to it.

Emma Update

It has been so long since I have updated.

Emma has not been doing as well as we would hope.  Her tumour continues to grow and now the surgeons cannot operate as she would probably not survive the surgery.  We have been told that she may only have months left which is just gut wrenching to hear.  We have not given up hope though and she is currently receiving round two of radiation therapy in the hope that it will give her more time or better yet, shrink the tumour enough to have surgery.

She was very excited about the idea of going to Disneyland soon for her Make a Wish but they have called and said that they cannot do it now.  She is absolutely mortified and so very sad.  It is ok though as they have not heard the last of me :-)

On Sunday a girlfriend organised for Emma to do the Q1 sky walk in Surfers Paradise.   It is 270 metres above sea level.... I didn't have the guts to do it with her so daddy went.

That is all

Be back shortly with another update
