Packing and More Surgery

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHH i hate packing.  On the up side though I am certainly getting rid of heaps of clutter and stuff that I will never use.  The house is officially ours on the 1st of August.  Oh my it is so very exciting and we are all looking forward to the big move.  It is going to be so nice to look out the kitchen window of a morning to see nothing but grass and trees rather than the neighbours entertaining area :-)  Emma is getting rather excited that she gets to decorate her room exactly how she wants it.  She had surgery on Friday.  Yes it was rather unexpected but the day before we had seen the dentist and he said that he wanted to do two crowns, two extractions and 3 fillings.  Instead of having these done over various days he wanted them done in the one sitting and suggested that a general anaesthetic would be much more comfortable for Emma.  We got home on Thursday afternoon to a message on the phone that they had booked her in for surgery the very next day.  Wow how was that for service.  The Royal Children's Hospital certainly don't mess around.  Everything went well.  She toddled into the theatre all by herself after giving daddy and I a big kiss and telling us that she loves us :-)  She was so very brave and incredibly strong for such a little munchkin. Breaks my heart that she has to deal with this all the time.  I have been praying so very hard for this to all be over and for Emma to be healed moving on with her life.  It just never seems to end.  We have been keeping an eye on the lump (tumour) on the side of her neck and both Stuart and I feel that it has grown again.  I am taking her up to see her oncologist on Wednesday so maybe he will tell me something new.   Will keep you all updated.

Well that is about all from me tonight.  Oh before I go I must show you my latest published layout.  This was in this month's Scrapbooking Memories.  I love this photo of my two men.

God Bless

Oh I also completed my Masters entry today.  Will post it off tomorrow.  I am really happy with the items that I created but you just never know what they are looking for at any particular moment.  I wish everyone who is entering the very best of luck.

Chemo

Well chemotherapy for Miss Emma did not go as planned... She had her MRI on the Thursday and it showed that the tumour has not shrunk :-( but it also hasn't grown :-)  Her oncologist decided to change her chemotherapy protocol again as he wasn't happy with the results.  So she is now on Irinotecan x 5 days and Vincristine.  This will happen every third week.  We are out patients though which makes it a little easier on us.  She is not handling this one too well and is finding it making her a little sick.  She is tough and will get through it.  The plan is for her to have two cycles of this and then another MRI.  If there is shrinkage then she stays on it.  If not then we try something else :-(

So many chemicals being pumped into my babys poor body

Praying that God will make it his will to cure Emma of her cancer

God Bless
Leanne :-)
