Fantastic Weelend

Was lucky enough to get a weekend away with the girls to do a photography course.  We went up to Tamborine Mountain for a day long session with Bluedog Photography.  The course was fantastic as was the company.  The weather however was atrocious.  It rained pretty much all day and the fog/mist was so horrible.  You could barely see 5 metres in front of you.

Once our course was over we headed back to our accommodation for some wine and nibblies before heading out to dinner.  After driving around for what seemed like forever we finally found a restaurant that was open.  Belvederes was where we ate and can I just say that it would have to be the best Italian that I have eaten in ages.  Their desserts, especially the creme brulee was totally divine. Finished the night with some more wine and Baileys.  Because of the weather our bedding and everything was damp and cold.  Does not lend itself to a good nights sleep.

Got up the next morning and headed our for a hearty breakfast before making our way down to the Botanical Gardens to practise our new found knowledge.. photos following.

Need a reminder

I really think I need to set myself a reminder to update my blog a few times a week.  I seem to be getting worse each time. Ok as of just then I put a reminder on my iPhone.....This should be interesting.

I can finally share with you some of the things that I have been creating for Kaisercraft. Hope you enjoy.  I have had soo much fun playing with the last two new releases.  Tiny Woods is just way too cute what with the little animals and mushrooms and then on the opposite scale you have the beautiful soft range from These Days.

I have been playing with other products as well.

This weekend just passed I was also lucky enough to take a class taught by the amazing Giovanna Scott. She showed us how to do Mixed Media and I am in LURVE with it...... Below are the canvases that I have done.  The first one is what we created in class and the second one is what I created when I got home.  Emma and I are going to do one each tonight as she really wants to know how to do it also.

You would not believe how much fun making one of these can be.  I love the fact that there are really no rules.  You just get in there and get messy and in the end create something beautiful.  I will be teaching a class on Mixed Media at Kaisercraft Robina on Saturday 3rd of March.  Would be great to see some of you there.  Bookings are essential so give the girls a call on  5580 9939.

This weekend we were lucky enough to have family photo done by the incredible Andrea Thompson.  I cannot wait to see them as they are not your normal family portraits.  Some cute quirky photos there to enjoy I am sure.
On Sunday Stuart decided that we were all going to go out to Beaudesert and test out the new FJ Cruiser with a couple of other cruiser owners.  We ended up going to a place called Scenic Rim 4wd park and boy was it fun.  Little scary at times especially on the mountain tracks.  I must be getting more nervous the older I get.

Well now I can see why I have to update more often.....  This post is just way too long.  If you have managed to make it to the end then well done - you need a medal.

Anyway I have dinner to get ready to over and out.

See you in a couple of days :-)

Happy Sunday

Happy Sunday lovely readers.  I know it has been a while since I have been here again.  I promise I will try and make it a more regular activity.

Not a lot has been happening here.  Emma has been visiting her cousins in Tea Gardens NSW for the past 4 days and was none too happy that she had to come home today.  She is supposed to go to school tomorrow but they are having the swimming carnival and she cannot compete as she is not allowed to go in public pools.  Too much of a risk of catching cooties.  She is currently sitting at the kitchen table getting all her homework completed.

It has finally stopped raining so the weekend has been spent doing all the outside jobs.  Luckily that does not involve me.  The boys job not mine.

have been doing loads of scrapping but yet again not much to show.  You can have a little sneak peek of the class that I will be teaching at Kaisercraft Robina next Saturday (11th) This is a double page layout and only costs $25.00 for class and full kit.

Here is a layout that I finally put together using Emma's creepy photos.  I love hoe it turned out but can understand that it is not something that everyone would like.

I used my new silhouette cameo to cut out the old house, pretty cool eh! I was going to post another layout here but it was picked up for publication on Friday so you will be able to see it in an upcoming edition of Scrapbooking Memories

This was the little birdie cage that I made for the Kaisercraft blog.  It is so cute IRL.

Anyway had better go and get the washing finished or the rug rats wont have any uniforms for tomorrow.  Emma's skirts need to be taken up but I made a real mess of the first one so am taking the second one to the seamstress.  So much easier that way.

Hope this finds you all happy and healthy
Leanne :-)
