Ok I know

that I said I would post photos of what we created at the Alice in Wonderland Tea Party but I got a bit slack.
I can only show you this one as the second item is not completed yet and the third item has been sent to the States to my beautiful friend Deb, and I don't want to show you until she has received it. I loved making this canvas, I was going to give it to Emma but then decided that when I re do my scrapping space I will hang it up in there.

We have our initial audit to become an RTO today. Hopefully we should have some good news by this afternoon. Stuart will be in the audit all day so won't know anything until he gets home. I hate just sitting around waiting for stuff.

Anyway just wanted to share this canvas with you. I have to run as I have a tonne of housework to get finished. Hope this finds you well

Awesome day

Yesterday was FANTABULOUS.

The Alice in Wonderland crop was just amazing and Ngaire, Jill and Tamar spoilt us rotten. The three projects we completed were awesome and I cannot wait to finish them and show you the photos. Our kits were filled to the brim with great products. I just cannot say enough about yesterday as everything was so perfect. Tamar went all out with everything including the wonderful food. It was all handmade and was delicious (heaps of it too). The day ended with wine and cheese (mmmm yum)

I was so exhausted by the time I got home that I was in bed asleep by 9.30, then we had to get up at 4.30am to go to the ANZAC day dawn service. Every year we all head out to Mudgeeraba for the service which is so very moving. God Bless all the men and women that have died serving our country. They will never be forgotten.

Lest we forget

New DT

Well I can finally share with you that I was lucky enough to make the DT for Scrap of Difference. It was so exciting to get the email letting me know that they wanted me. Now I cannot wait to get started on my commitments.

Stuart and I have been extra busy getting things ready for our new business. We have our initial audit on Thursday and if we get through that then we start trading on Friday. We should have our website up and running a week after that. I will keep you all updated on the progress as it happens. Just remember if you are after a qualification in Business, Retail, Hospitality or Sport & Recreation then we are the ones to see.

Am looking forward to scrapping tomorrow with my bud Val. It has been ages since we scrapped so will be loads of fun.

Sunday morning will see us all up bright and early for the Anzac day dawn service at Mudgeeraba, we try to get there every year as I think it is important that we pay our respects to the soldiers who fought for us and our country. I also think it is important for the children to know and understand what the day is all about.

Whatever you are doing this long weekend make sure you stay safe and have loads of fun.

Home sweet home

As much as I love going away on holiday, there is always something wonderful about coming home.

Spent a wonderful 5 days with my mum, just sitting around talking and visiting relatives. Unfortunately though I had to leave her and meet up with Stuart and the children. The original plan was that the four of us would head off to the Hunter Valley and take our time coming home but Stuart's mum suggested that the children fly back up the coast with her and then the two of us could have a couple of days to ourselves. It was so lovely and we had a wonderful time. We spent the first day going to the wineries tasting the yummy wines and going on a couple of tours through the winery. Ended up bringing quite a bit of it back with us. Lets just say that the cellar is looking pretty full at the moment.
The next morning we got up with the plan that we would go out to Tamworth and look around and then spend the night in Armidale. Ha yeah right, we got to Armidale and thought seeing as it was still early we would go further into Tenterfield. Once we got there Stuart said that seeing as we were only4.5 hours away from home why don't we just keep going. Well we ended up getting home at 8pm after driving for the whole day. We were both exhausted. We ended up picking the children up on our way as Stuarts grandfather was ill and his mum had to leave early in the morning to fly down to Victoria. We got a phone call just after we got back to the house telling us that his grandfather had passed away. Not a nice ending to a lovely holiday. He was sick and in a lot of pain so at least now he is not suffering. He is in God's hands and will be well taken care of now.

Hope this finds you all happy healthy and filled to the brim with chocolate...... Easter bunny forgot all about me. I did look to see if he had hidden anything at the airport for me but alas he didn't. :-(
