Things are really heating up

over at Scrapz. We are up to round 2 of The Scrapper of Oz challenge and the layouts that are being created are amazing. I am in awe at how many talented women there are in this place.

Here is my layout for this week. I had fun doing this and I have always wanted to scrap those photos of Emma. Looking forward to round 3 now, woo hoo bring it on.
On another note there are now only 10 sleeps until the retreat. Oh boy oh boy I am just so looking forward to this weekend.
Our little man has his year 8 orientation day at Hillcrest Christian College tomorrow. I hope he had a wonderful day and makes some friends.

Can you believe......................

that there are only 13 more sleeps until we head off to the Retreat..... I cannot believe how quickly the time has gone. We received our lists this afternoon so I will be busy getting everything ready to pack. Oh so exciting.

Have been scrapping a couple of layout this week, both are for comps at Scrapz.

Apart from that I haven't really done much at all. Stuart and I got our home office all set up today which has taken me ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL day. I am glad that I persevered though as there is nothing worse than continuing on a project the next day.

Jacob came home from camp on Friday and talked about how good it was all the way home. We were so worried that he would have issues (his first camp) but we needn't have worried as he was fine. I am so proud that he joined in on all the activities and went tobogganing, sailing, surfing, dancing and the list goes on and on. He said the worst thing about camp was the food or lack thereof. We did warn him that there wouldn't be enough for him but he wouldn't believe us lol.

Anyway I am off to go sit on the couch and watch some TV before I go to bed. Hope this finds you all happy and healthy

Round 1

Scrapz is having a great challenge at the moment and this is my layout for round 1

The layout had to have all 7 colours of the rainbow, have some show of movement (hence the little squiggles near the ambulance tyres) and had to be about yours or someone else's dream. I did mine on Emma's dream of becoming a doctor when she is older.

Cannot wait now for round 2 - had a ball creating this.

Layouts

Just some more scrapping to share. The Milo layout is for the Nook & Pantry comp over at Scrapz. The others are just because.....

We are having a quite day at home today. Stuart has heaps of study to do for him MBA so has gone to his office. No good trying to study at home when you have two children running around.

Emma has a physical Culture comp tomorrow so she will have to have an early night although we don't have to leave until lunch time. Speaking of Physi...... I must say that I am very proud of my sister in law because just this week she has just had her first book published and it is all about Physical Culture. You can read all about it here. Did I mention how proud of her I am? It is so very exciting and she is just over the moon about the whole thing.
Anyway I am off to do some scrapping. Might do digital today as I could not be bothered cleaning.
Have a fabulous weekend and will catch you later

Another Birthday

done and dusted...........

To everyone that has txt, emailed and phoned me I would like to say a big thank you. It made my day to have so many people do that.

My day started with a lovely cup of tea in bed (thank you princess) and then it was on to opening the pressies. Stuart bought me Adobe photoshop elements 8. I already have the full blown version of photoshop but wanted the smaller one. He also told me that I could go out and buy a bendy tripod for my camera (have wanted one for ages)

After I dropped the children off at school I met up with Sheree, Heike, Deb and Rach for morning tea at Max Brenners Chocolate shop - yummo. I had the yummiest cappuccino frappe. Sheree surprised me with an adorable gift of an address book and a little note book. They are covered in the cutest little birdies. I will show you once I get a photo. It was so lovely to meet the girls from Scrapz too.
Then it was on to lunch with Zina, Lee and Bec. We had a yummy lunch at this cute little Deli in Broadbeach. Once again I was given some beautiful gifts from these women. A voucher for Borders book store (one of my fav stores) a Dusk voucher (another of my fav's) and finally 4 delicious little cupcakes from the cupcake shop. I must say that they didn't last long either as I ate them when I came home. Felt a bit sick in the tum afterwards as they were so rich but hey it was worth it. Probably should have taken a photo before I ate them but just didn't think...
After lunch I picked children up from school and then had to take Emma to dancing. We had to rush home after that as we were going out for a family dinner to the Groove Train at Robina Town Centre. Nice food but the ambiance in the restaurant was real sucky. Very noisy and the lights were too bright.
So all in all you can see that I had a wonderful birthday with friends and family. Ate too much and probably had one glass of wine too much but was enjoyable all the same.
Have been scrapping again for Scrapz competitions. They have a HUGE competition starting on the 11th so if you scrap then head on over and sign up. It will be well worth it.
That is it for me today. Will be back with more layouts over the weekend.
Hope this finds you happy and healthy

Shock, Horror

She scraps again.........................

I completed these two layouts for the Scrap.biz website challenges. Great little community of scrappers I must say. There are so many challenges every month you just have to go over and have a look. They are having a HUGE competition starting on the 11th October and from what I hear there will be loads of prizes and good ones too.... Oh and in case I didn't mention it - they have heaps of stuff in their on line store and the prices are awesome...

Not a lot has been happening on the home front. Stuart is busy working and doing his Masters and I am just busy working and looking after the children. We were lucky enough to have Stuart's mum come up this week for a bit of a break and also to help out with the children while the holidays are on. It saves us heaps of money when she does as it would cost us $80 a day otherwise just for 5 hours care.

Am getting excited now seeing as the retreat is drawing near. It is going to be so much fun and I am sure that I am going to meet heaps of new friends.

Anyway it is time that I started getting the dinner ready otherwise we will all starve.

Hope this finds you all happy and healthy

love Leanne :-)
