Happy 1st Birthday Tayla

This little princess celebrated her very 1st birthday last week.

As you can see - my two absolutely love her to bits especially Emma. We celebrated her birthday with a bbq down at North Burleigh beach and the weather was just perfect. Beautiful sunshine all day long. Never got to eat cake as Tayla fell asleep towards the end so the cake was forgotten about for a while. Jacob and Emma have asked Val to save them a piece LOL....

This time next week we will be on our way to Brisbane airport and getting ready for our big holiday. I think I have just about got everything organised.... Knowing me like I do then I just know that I am going to forget something. I have never been away yet where I have not forgotten something.
I took my niece to spotlight today to buy her birthday pressie. She got a sewing machine from her parents so I told her that I would take her to Spotlight to buy fabrics. She got quite a bit for her money and I think she was very happy with her purchases.
Ok I have to go now as my sweet adorable nine year old is begging to use my sewing machine so that she can make something. She has no idea what she wants to make but I am sure she will figure it out sooner or later.

Hope this finds you all happy and healthy out there in cyber land
Love to you all

This time in two weeks the love family will be getting ready to get on a plane and fly away into the great blue yonder......

It is really getting exciting now but I am still very scared.. I am sure that it is going to be a fabulous experience for us all.

Autism Hour

Please support ‘Autism Hour’

Friday 21 August at 9am will be declared ‘Autism Hour’, with a goal to reach as many people as possible to make them aware of autism spectrum disorders and their prevalence.

1 in 160* Australians have an autism spectrum disorder, for which as yet there is no cure.

Autism Hour is about showing your support for the people affected by this lifelong disorder, by entering your details on a dedicated website:

www.autismhour.com.au

Autism Hour is an initiative of the Asia Pacific Autism Conference (APAC 09) where over 1500 people will be gathered representing the number of people diagnosed each year in Australia with an autism spectrum disorder.

and she scraps.....................

I just do not seem to get enough time to do anything these days let alone scrap so imagine my excitement last night when I did.... Mind you it was only digital scrapping but scrapping all the same.

The countdown has really begun now for our holiday with less than 3 weeks to go. I should probably start thinking about ordering our money and everything else that needs doing. I have started a list so will add to it as I go. Cannot believe how excited I am becoming. I am hoping to buy stuff for my camera while I am over there like a nice big flash and stuff. I am especially looking forward to shopping for new clothes as apparently they are very cheap.

Anyway I am going now to scrap some more. I am only going o do another digital layout, will play with my paper this weekend seeing as Stuart is away.

Take care and stay safe

I hope this finds you all happy and healthy out there in cyber land

How slack have I become?

Well it had been ages (yet again) since I posted. Just a busy gal these days. If I am not working then I am running my children here and there for different sporting commitments. I guess they are the joys of being a parent.

Jacob has been enjoying his fencing. Stuart has been taking him to his classes but this week I will have to as Stuart is studying for an exam at Uni.

Emma had a friend over for a play on Sunday which was nice. The temperature here was only 21 degrees Celsius today and they ended up in the pool. They are nuts as the pool would have been freezing....On saying that they only stayed in there for about 15 minutes.

Kristi & Emma

Emma had her interview at Hillcrest Christian College today and I am very happy to say that she too will be commencing there next year along with her big brother. I was quite amazed at her entrance exam results which showed that she was reading and writing 2.6 years above her age. I knew she was a clever little chicken but that made me feel very proud. Her maths is also very high but we will not know until she starts there when they test her for that.
Anyway that is about all of my news from this little part of the world. Oh I scrapped on the weekend, yes I know it has been so long since I picked up a piece of paper but I did it and it felt good......
Take care and stay safe
