Wow it has been a long time between posts.

The past few weeks have gone so quickly, just a blur really. I haven't even scrapped. I have however done a little sewing and have almost completed another little bag which I will post once completed.

My little man turned 12 (eek) last Saturday. He managed to get heaps of great pressies and loads of money. We bought him a new mountain bike and with some of his money he purchased himself a rock tumbler (cleans and polishes rocks) We took him out for Japanese as that is what he wanted for his birthday dinner and we were lucky enough to have his nan and pa up for a visit as well. We all had a lovely night and the food was fabulous

Have fallen in love with an antique dressing table and am hoping that I will be able to go and buy it this weekend. It is probably circa 1920's and totally divine.

We had some other exciting news this week. Jacob had his interview at Hillcrest Christian College on Wednesday and was lucky enough to be offered a place there starting next year. Now all we have to do it get Emma in as well. It is a beautiful school and they are so kind and helpful. I am sure that Jacob is going to thoroughly enjoy his next 5 years as a student there.

Scrapping Outback have an awesome cybercrop happening tonight. Carole Janson is taking one of the classes which sounds awesome so I won't be missing that. If you are interested then head on over and give some of the challenges a go.

Oh and finally some exciting news for me. I have been given a position on the Design Team for Butterfly Crafts. My first layout will be up and posted on the website on the 15th of August. I must say that it is a bit of a challenging one which makes it even more fun, really gets you thinking.

Anyway this was only meant to be a very quick update so I will sign off here and come back when I have something to share. Hope this finds you all fit and healthy

I have been looking everywhere for a vase to put on my entry hall table. I have been on ebay and everything but finally found one at a little antique store here on the coast. YAH finally. Not exactly 100% what I wanted but I had to get it all the same........

Out little man is celebrating his 12th birthday tomorrow. I still find it hard that we have been blessed with him for 12 whole years. They haven't always been easy years and definately never a dull moment with Jacob around but I wouldn't change a single moment.

This was taken last night at the Japanese Restaurant, just Jacob being Jacob

He is going out in the morning with his dad to pick up his new mountain Bike so I am guessing that I will be posting again tomorrow night with photos of that.

Take care and stay safe

rain rain go away

Ok enough already, it has rained here now for two days and it is enough. My pool is overflowing and the dog has to swim across the back yard to do his business lol...... I don't mind a little rain but this is ridiculous. Thank goodness I have a clothes dryer otherwise we would have nothing left to wear.

I hope wherever you are it is beautiful and sunny........ :)

A Baby, layouts and a ladybird

Hi guys,

Have had a great week. I got my new lens and have been having fun learning how to use it. I did manage to take an awesome photo of a lady beetle that landed on Emmas hand. Pretty cool isn't it?

Next up we visited friends of ours who have just given birth to this cute little man. His name is Kobie and he is such a cutie patootie. He has a little old mans face when he is awake and it is just the sweetest.

I did manage to gt some scrapping done this week as I had to do a layout for the Scrapping Outback "chipboard highschool" challenge

And this was my design for challenge 12 at Butterfly Crafts. You had to create a layout using only your favourite colour. You could however use black or white as well. I love pink and as pleased with how the layout turned out. If you are interested then head on over and take a look.
there are great prizes to be won for the best layout. Give it a go.
Had a heap of girlfriends over on Friday night for a get together. I was thinking that we would actually scrap or maybe even sew but alas all we did was chat!!!!! I don't believe that any of us did anything well except maybe for Sheree I think she did a bit of knitting....
Next time you have to come Mel and not be sick!!!!
All up I have had fun and I hope that you have all had a good week as well.
Until next time, take care and stay safe

I've been sewing

I made these little baskets the other day and they are so cute. I have more but they are not quite finished yet. Don't really know what I am going to do with them but will worry about that another day. I also made Emma a beautiful little apron but when I asked her where it was so I could take a photo she said that she had lost it!!!! I am sure it is in her room somewhere and I will find it tomorrow when I go in and clean it up.

I cannot believe that I didn't take many photos on Mother's day either. I do however have ones of my mum with her grandchildren.

Anyway am off now to get ready for work. Take care and stay safe

Just wanted to show you a couple of layouts that I have created using the wonderful new techniques learnt at Scrapping Outback Chipboard Highschool challenge. The stuff we have been learning totally rocks. You can do soooo much with chipboard - awesome.......

Hope you have all had a wonderful Mother's Day. I would love to tell you that I had a fabulous day but it is hard when you feel that you are just never quite good enough......

Till next time, take care and stay safe

Craft Night

Am hopefully having a craft night here at home on Friday 15th so fingers crossed I will have loads to share with you.

Has been pretty quite around here lately. Not a lot to share really. I have been sewing more than scrapping lately and will share my creations with you on another post. I have things to create this weekend for Butterfly Crafts so am hoping to share those with you also.

Am looking forward to Mothers day on Sunday. The children are teasing me about what I am getting and they keep telling me that I am going to love it or them so goodness knows what I am going to receive. I am a bit scared about the brecky in bed bit as neither of the children are old enough to cook LOL. I am sure whatever it is that they make will be made with love and basically that is all that matters.

Anyway got to go and finish getting ready for work. Thank goodness it is Friday.

Take care and stay safe

A Good Week

I have had a fabulous week....

My mum has flown up from Tasmania for two and a half weeks for a visit. It has been a hard month or so for mum having just buried nanna so this will be a good break for her. Unfortunately I have been working during the day so we have only had the nights together. Stuart is going to take the children camping on Saturday and Sunday night so that mum and I can get some quality time together - isn't he a gem

We are going to Brisbane tomorrow for the stitches and craft fair which should be fun and then we will come back, go out for dinner and then visit my sister in law. Sunday will just see us go shopping or just veging around the house.
My little princess has also had a great week. She had her school assembly on Wednesday and was awarded the medal for top speller for year 4, she also received an award for her essay writing and then her teacher came and asked if it would be ok to put her into year 5 for her maths as the year 4 is just too easy for her. I of course said yes. She then went to her dancing lessons that afternoon and won the weeks award for best concentration. To make things even better for her - she has been asked to join the gifted and talented class - YAH EMMA.

Here is a photo of her and her awards - looks like the 29th is lucky for her.
Anyway after a few wines things are looking a bit fuzzy lol so I had better go.........
I think that mum and I are going to go for a walk to Zaraffas and get a coffee. Chat later
Take care and stay safe
