how quick
The children finished school on Friday which was a little sad as Jacob is now heading off to high school in 2010 and Emma is going to a new school so had to leave all of her beautiful friends. There were loads of tears I can tell you, I must admit that even I had a little tear in my eye. It was even worse when we went to see the principal and deputy principal. They have been so amazing with my children and I will be forever grateful for what they have done for them both
Friday afternoon was spent at the accident and emergency department with Jacob. Silly goose was cutting fabric with his pocket knife and ended up slicing up his finger really well. The amount of blood was icky and then poor little mummy panicked. Thank goodness Emma was there as she knew exactly what to do. Jacob was such a mess - poor little darling. We got straight in which was great but then we had to wait two hours for a doctor, thankfully he wasn't bleeding much at that stage. Ideally he should have had 4 to 5 stitches but as soon as the work needle was mentioned Jacob totally freaked out. We ended up getting butterfly stitches (which I don't think will really do the job). I guess only time will tell. We re dressed the wound this morning and it was no where near closed. I think that he is going to have a big scar.
Our fur baby got a lovely present today. Stuart boned out a leg of pork and Jed was the lucky recipient of the bone. You should have seen the look on his face when he got it - if dogs could smile then he was certainly smiling.......
I decided to get in the kitchen and make some little biscuits today. I had seen these on other peoples blogs and thought they were adorable so just had to make some. They have been a huge hit.
The kids have been in the pool so much these past few days. A bit unfair for Jacob as he has to have a bag over his hand and make sure it doesn't get wet, lol he was getting so frustrated today as you could see that all he wanted to do was dive under. Oh well only a week of keeping it dry and then he should be fine.
I hope this finds you all happy and healthy out there in blog land. Until next time stay safe and be happy.

What a day
Friday, November 27, 2009
Oh dear
Hopefully all will go well and the children will be well behaved. Stuart will be sitting them down and telling them the rules so fingers crossed they all follow them........
Instead of buying heaps of lollies for their goodie bags I bought them all a pool noodle (seeing as it is a pool party) and a few other little things. I am praying that the weather stays nice and that they all go home completely tuckered out.
If I survive tomorrow then I will come back and tell you all about it LOL

Busy busy Busy
Finished up at work on Friday, not a lot to tell wasn't working out for either of us so I left. It isn't a bad time to be finishing though with the Christmas holidays fast approaching. Have heaps to do around the house between now and then. We had new awnings put on the house last week which look great and then we are getting the air conditioner being put in the office on Thursday (thank goodness). It is like a sweat box in here of an afternoon.
Am putting the finishing touches on Ems birthday party organising this week. Her birthday is not until January 4 but we have let her have a party this weekend as this is her last year at her current school. So it is more of a going away/birthday party. Her invitation list had 34 names on it. We invited them all but thankfully so far only 18 have RSVP'd. I don't know why I do this to myself. We are having a pool party here at the house so hopefully they will occupy themselves in the pool for the whole 4 hours (yeah not likely)
Anyway still so much to do. Have been trying to get my December daily album done but alas I am not having much luck (time management issue)
Hope this finds you all happy and healthy

COOL WEBSITE
Go to WORDLE you will have so much fun playing around with it. You can do heaps of fun stuff with words.
Have vreated another three layouts using the FANTABULOUS digital kits from KAISERCRAFT DIGITAL but cannot show you yet. I must say that the jingles kit would have to be my fav - well actually I like them all.........
Well that is it from me. Stuart is taking me out today to buy a new 22 inch HD monitor for my computer, yah then in a couple of weeks I should get my new laptop (am begging for a lime green one from Dell but am not liking my chances)
Hope you are all having a brilliant weekend.

Look out Kaisercraft - HERE I COME
by Rainie
It’s finally time and we could NOT be more excited…our digital creative team is finally being announced
All it took for Leanne to become hooked on scrapbooking was a stroll past a store’s window display of pretty papers – she says she hasn’t stopped since then but started digi scrapping seven months ago and throroughly loves it. She can be inspired by anything from home magazines and advertising to scenery and her children, and her scrapping style is dictated by the photos and products she uses, as well as her mood. Leanne says she is willing to try anything and has been published in several magazines.

Things are really heating up

Can you believe......................
Apart from that I haven't really done much at all. Stuart and I got our home office all set up today which has taken me ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL day. I am glad that I persevered though as there is nothing worse than continuing on a project the next day.
Jacob came home from camp on Friday and talked about how good it was all the way home. We were so worried that he would have issues (his first camp) but we needn't have worried as he was fine. I am so proud that he joined in on all the activities and went tobogganing, sailing, surfing, dancing and the list goes on and on. He said the worst thing about camp was the food or lack thereof. We did warn him that there wouldn't be enough for him but he wouldn't believe us lol.
Anyway I am off to go sit on the couch and watch some TV before I go to bed. Hope this finds you all happy and healthy

Round 1
The layout had to have all 7 colours of the rainbow, have some show of movement (hence the little squiggles near the ambulance tyres) and had to be about yours or someone else's dream. I did mine on Emma's dream of becoming a doctor when she is older.
Cannot wait now for round 2 - had a ball creating this.

Shock, Horror
I completed these two layouts for the Scrap.biz website challenges. Great little community of scrappers I must say. There are so many challenges every month you just have to go over and have a look. They are having a HUGE competition starting on the 11th October and from what I hear there will be loads of prizes and good ones too.... Oh and in case I didn't mention it - they have heaps of stuff in their on line store and the prices are awesome...
Not a lot has been happening on the home front. Stuart is busy working and doing his Masters and I am just busy working and looking after the children. We were lucky enough to have Stuart's mum come up this week for a bit of a break and also to help out with the children while the holidays are on. It saves us heaps of money when she does as it would cost us $80 a day otherwise just for 5 hours care.
Am getting excited now seeing as the retreat is drawing near. It is going to be so much fun and I am sure that I am going to meet heaps of new friends.
Anyway it is time that I started getting the dinner ready otherwise we will all starve.
Hope this finds you all happy and healthy
love Leanne :-)

I know I said...........
I am planning to do some more scrapping tonight if I am up to it. Have come down with a nasty head cold or sinus or something like that. My head feels like it will explode and I reckon it is from all the dust on Wednesday. I tried to get some photos but it really didn't look all that bad from our backyard. I am so glad that I never left the windows open when I went out otherwise I would have had a terrible mess to clean up. As it was I had to re wash my clothes as they had turned an icky shade of orange. Oh well it could have been much worse.
Anyway I am outta here as I am trying to print off photos to scrap.
Take care and stay safe

Day Seven

Day Six
Got the taxi to bring us back via the Pavillion shopping centre which is definately for the rich, such a classy place and with every famous designer you could possibly think of. Didn't stay in that place for too long. Came back to the hotel as it started to rain and we all went for a swim. As soon as i finished the swim I went down to the spa and had my foot reflexology, shoulder and back massage. Mmmm it was so relaxing and i really didn't want to leave.
While I was having my massage Stuart and the kids went to the shops and bought some more nibblies. Emma and I sat down and watched Juno while munching on a packet of BBQ chips (at least I think they are, cannot actually understand the writing). Once we finished the movie we all headed over the road and picked up some Domino's pizza. We are all now sitting here in the lounge watching some silly movie on the Disney Channel. I think it is called Rocket man.
Not a lot planned tomorrow at this stage. I think we are going to find the shopping centre that has a large indoor amusement park. It is not far from us apparently. Will fill you in on all the details tomorrow.
Take care and stay safe
